“Molex Ireland has had a long and positive relationship with ,the associated network of consultants in a range of key strategic areas for the company. On the Human Resource Development side, we have worked with the team to develop our Supervisory level Development programme, using a combination of Molex material and the experience of the consultant to deliver a rich mix of theory and practical application. In order to improve our in-house training capability, we developed a focused Train the Trainer programme for shop floor level trainers, and an advanced programme for Trainers who would operate at a much wider plant level, planning and delivering key programmes in the organisation.
We have worked very closely with the consultants to develop and improve our strategic approach to new product introduction, with programmes covering the full range of the skills required such as project management and planning, FMEA etc., and also reviewing and refining our entire New Product Introduction process. More recently we have worked with the team and their associated consultants to begin the delivery of a Design for Six Sigma programme throughout our entire new products team On the operational level of our business, we have developed a range of activities together focused on improving our execution within the manufacturing areas. Key programmes initiated several years ago in TQM have led more recently to a focus on Lean Manufacturing and Greenbelt project teams, both of which are delivering significant improvements to our business. The ongoing relationship with this team of consultants has helped us to develop a strong strategic approach to our business, supported with well developed tactical methods to implement the strategy”.
